Gerry Dee Selects One Eleven Management Group for Representation in Sports Industry

Star actor and comedian Gerry Dee announced today that he has signed on with One Eleven Management Group for partnership representation in the sports industry and for special projects.

“I’m thrilled to start working with Jeff and One Eleven Management Group to represent some of the ideas and events I hope to bring to life over the next few years,” said Gerry Dee, who is about to film an impressive eighth and final season of Mr. D this summer. Gerry Dee’s sitcom Mr. D, which he co-created, writes and stars in, premiered in January 2012 on CBC to the highest rated scripted show premiere for the network in seven years. The show is based on Gerry Dee’s real-life experiences as a high school teacher and will enter its eighth season in 2018 as one of the most successful Canadian sitcoms of all time.

“I’ve been a big fan of Gerry Dee’s work for a long time so the opportunity to work alongside him now is exciting,” said Jeff Dykeman, Founder of One Eleven Management Group. “His skills at being on stage or being in front of the camera and making people laugh is extremely unique and something that we hope to showcase even more in the sports and golf world.”

Gerry Dee is former competitive amateur and university level golfer who competed in national amateur and U SPORTS events when he was younger. In recent years he’s played as a celebrity in a number of PGA Tour-sanctioned Pro-Am events and recently returned from a sixth-place finish in the amateur division at the Grey Goose World Par-3 Championship in Bermuda.
