One of Canada’s funniest stand-up comedians, Gerry Dee turned a career as a school teacher into the catalyst for his comedy both on stage and television.
Gerry Dee performs for sold-out audiences across the country, was voted Canada’s best stand-up comic and finished 3rd in the prestigious NBC reality special Last Comic Standing in the US in 2007.
Gerry Dee’s sitcom Mr. D, which he co-created, wrote and starred in, premiered in January 2012 on CBC to the highest rated scripted show premiere for the network in seven years. The show was based on Gerry Dee’s real-life experiences and is one of the most successful Canadian sitcoms of all time.
Gerry Dee is set to be the host of Family Feud Canada coming to CBC this fall. Family Feud Canada will showcase Canadian families from across the country as they compete to guess the most popular answers to fun, family-friendly survey questions from a sample of Canadians.
