John Epping, a three-time Grand Slam of Curling Champion and 18-time winner on the World Curling Tour, leads the world ranked curling team that is set to become one of the top contenders to represent Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Standing behind their skip on the newly formed Team Epping will be 2018 Olympian Brent Laing, Team Epping returnee Mat Camm and four-time World Curling champion Craig Savill.
Savill’s return to the rink is a well-documented and celebrated one after he took a leave of absence to fight Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which he has successfully beaten. He reunites with Laing, with whom he won two Tim Hortons Briers, two world championships and 12 Grand Slams. Laing represented Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
During the 2017/2018 season, Team Epping was directly featured on more than 75 hours of live television coverage at major events across the country on Canada’s top sport networks – Rogers Sportsnet and TSN.
Team Epping is schedule to play over 15 events this season, including seven Grand Slam of Curling majors.
