[TORONTO]—If you ask John Epping about the results for Team Epping over the last month he’ll likely tell you it could have been just a bit better given the competitor he is and the expectations he has for himself and the team.

If you ask those around the game, however, they’ll tell you this new look Team Epping has come out of the gates showing everyone that they’re likely going to be in contention in major events all season long.

A tough loss in the semi-finals in extra ends over the weekend in the Grand Slam of Curling’s Elite 10 capped off an impressive September in which Team Epping racked up 15 wins, 4 losses, two semi-final berths and a big victory at the Shorty Jenkins Classic in Cornwall, ON.

Their play has already given them a bump up the World Rankings as they came from outside the top 10 when the team was formed to now ranked 7th in the world as of this morning.

The team garnered quite a bit of attention all summer after they announced that 2018 Olympian Brent Laing and Craig Savill were reuniting as a front end duo and joining Epping and Mat Camm and they haven’t disappointed.

Selected as the feature game twice on Sportsnet’s live national television coverage last week, Team Epping was shown for nearly four hours over the course of the week and showcased their partnerships with Bin There Dump That, VR Mechanical, OS&B, Shipton’s Heating & Cooling, Stu Sells and Balance Plus.

Team Epping will play next in the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard on October 4th-8th in Toronto, ON.  You can follow Team Epping’s twitter feed for results and game notifications all season at – https://twitter.com/TeamJohnEpping
